The Algosaibi family has a rich history that is entwined with the development of modern-day Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Beginning with Hajj pilgrim caravans in the 1800’s from Hassa to one of the largest pearling merchants in the world from Bahrain in the early 1900’s to the present day, the family has a long & rich tradition that places the Algosaibi name as one of the most reputable in Saudi Arabia.
Khalifa Abdulrahman Algosaibi began his business in the late 1950’s, starting a shrimping & fisheries business that catered both to the National Guard as well as companies starting out in the Eastern Province, including the then Saudi American Oil Company (now Saudi Aramco).
One of the first commercial companies established in the current Khalifa Algosaibi Holding Company was the Trading division, which introduced companies such as Kraft Foods, White-Westinghouse, and others to the Saudi market.
